Comic Book Artist

About Jerry

Jerry Rascoe spent his childhood in Colchester, Vermont where he became an avid comic book fan from a very early age. He spent hours with coloring books, drawing paper, crayons, pencils, markers and pens drawing everything his imagination could come up with. He graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree as an Art Teacher, however, his heart has always been in comics. Jerry has been steadily working toward a career in comics ever since.

In 2006 Jerry and his Wife moved to Austin Texas where he is still concentrating on his art. Jerry attends multiple comic conventions every year and enjoys the camaraderie with other artist and comic professionals and fans. He dreams of one day making comics his full time employment.

Jerry’s favorite comic superhero is Spider-Man, whom he has tattooed on his arm. Of course, he has many other favorites! He loves titles from DC, Marvel, Image, and some Indy titles too! Jerry is also a huge Star Wars fan and can go on at great length about anything you ever wanted to know about the series.

Jerry has been published in Beta 3 Comics as the artist for issue #9 of “Sniper and Rook”. The series is an action adventure/ spy thriller genre. You can find the book on the website for Beta 3. He also has another book that will soon be published called “Urthe”, a collaboration with other comic enthusiasts written by Christopher Mosier and penciled and inked by Jerry through Making Comics Studios. The book is a pre-history sword and sorcery story with a love story and plenty of action and adventure. As soon as the book is available the information will be posted on the website. Jerry also has an upcoming project that he is very excited about, more on that will be posted soon!

When not working or drawing comics, Jerry enjoys Basketball, Football, and Softball. He was part of the Semi-Pro Football team the Vermont Icestorm where he also sat on the Board of Directors before having to move for his employer.

He and his Wife (also the author of this bio), currently live with their 3 dogs in Kyle Texas, a nice little suburb of Austin TX. You can find Jerry on Facebook.

We thank you for your interest in Jerry! We hope to see you at our next Convention!
